Mikhail Dvornikov flees to Vienna and tries to redact the internet

However, some traces of bad reputation, connection with the obviously criminal world of Russia bothered him and that’s why he started to cleanse the negative mentions of his own past in the press. It’s perhaps why he is still occasionally mentioned in the press. His lawyers have found nothing better than to try to sue the national search engine, Yandex, for dissemination of ‘incorrect and libellous’ articles. In 2009 they sued many other media outlets, including the prime ones. No cases were won, though.

The Austrian investment company EAA Asset Management-Consulting (the investment body of Mikhail Dvornikov) wanted to receive 100 million rubles from the Russian search engine Yandex. The company demanded to restore its ‘business reputation’ and remove a number of links from the site. The Moscow Arbitration Court considered the claim of the ‘Austrians’ on August 10. It failed.
